The list of drivers for the relay race is up. Its posted on octane.ie in the forum there.

There's an extremely high standard of drivers going in including the McHale's and Kellet's of this world.

I'm actually glad i didnt get in with that standard going on.

I'd like to do dream cars or static display now instead so

Went to CityWest this afternoon and made for the box office to book for the 5pm live show. Were told their system was "down" and to come back at 4 as it would be back then. Joined a long queue (outside in freezing cold) around 3:40 which was so painfully slow that the organisers set up an impromptu complimentary tea/coffee service. :)
After about 20 mins it became apparent that one window was dealing with ticket collections and other for purchasing/upgrading. After a bit of a scramble to be in the correct queue we eventually got to the window to be told that there were no tickets available for 5pm show. :( Asked about 8pm show but was told they were only dealing with the 5pm show at that time and to come back at 5:30 for 8pm tickets. Also our discount vouchers would not be accepted for 8pm show. After telling them where they could stick their tickets we gave up and went home to warm up As did a lot of other punters. An afternoon wasted. :( :(
Piss-ups and brewery come to mind. With organisation like this I'm amazed it got off the ground at all.
Would it have been that difficult to divert people into the correct queue?
If someone had announced that no tickets available for 5pm show the queue would have practically disappeared.

End of rant :x
Paschal
