This will be our big show for the latter part of the summer. Joe has given us our usual area beside the back gate. George and the crew from the 'Ulster Kit Car Club' will be down for the weekend. As before you can arrive on the Saturday for the Afternoon Run, Barbecue, Tyre Burnout, Drive-in Movie, Music and BEER. The show is then open to the public on Sunday. Our record at this event is 39 cars, if this years Terenure show is anything to go by we should easily beat this. Camping at the stand is allowed or just turn up on Sunday.

Hi all,

The Kilbeggan Show is on the weekend 11th,12th September. It is located at Joe Keenan’s opposite the racecourse in Kilbeggan on the N6.

The weather forecast looks good for the week leading up to it, only have 10 day so will update this week. Dust off the cobwebs and get them out for a spin!!

A private tour of the 'Kilbeggan Distillery' has been organised by club member Ben Telling. Ben's uncle is the owner of the famous Whiskey producer and has given us the tour for free. A few 'half one's' will be had in the bar afterwards. The kick off will be at 17.00 Saturday 11th. If anyone wants to partake then please reply and I will try and arrange transport from and back to the Show grounds (which is approx 2 miles for those who insist on staggering back!!)

Hey Charlie - Is anyone camping? I can't find my tent - can we sleep in the Club tent? Is it repaired? I would like to do the whiskey tour but I don't want to drive back to Dublin after that - and I am too poor to splash on a Hotel........

Cool ! :?

I can survive cool but will it be wet ?

Looking forward to a nice warm night in the tent but think I will not partake of the refreshments that were on offer when in Stoneleigh!

Unless I am forced to . . . . purely for medicinal purposes !

Hi all,

The weather for the show this weekend from the 10 day forecast is giving possible showers on Saturday and dry for Sunday. We will be onsite from about 11.00 on Saturday to set up the stand. Some people are camping overnight and if last year is anything to go by sore heads will be evident Sunday morning!! Our ‘Carbide Cannon’ display has been approved by the organiser Joe (who experimented with this when he was younger). The numbers for the private tour of the Kilbeggan Whisky Distillery have swelled to about 24 at this stage. Make an effort to attend the show this Sunday with your car as it is our last club attended show of the year. Please reply to this mail or call me so I have an idea of numbers.

Regards,

Charlie Donaghy
