Oh Yes! - that's the type of stuff we should be doing - developing Irish tourism and history - more of the Whiskey and cheeses as well - and the film and music industries - I can't wait to go and support this.

Well said, Allistair, I agree. this looks like it could shape up to be a great event, both for the club and for motorsport in Ireland.

Me too, all booked. Maybe they can set aside an area, or we all arrive at the same time, on a little run from a meeting place..

Just booked myself in for this! Reduced online entry price still available - €10.
I'd agree, Brian, with your idea of meeting up and arriving at this in a group. I've availed of the free VIP parking promotion too.
Looking forward to getting down to Adare for this.
Will have bits and pieces sorted on the Striker by then.
Mick.

Hi Guys, checking through my mails realised I had got a mail from Martin along everybody else about the Adare weekend, has anybody made a decision if its a club event and are we entering as aclub or do we enter individually :? only accommadation in the area is becoming fairly thin on the ground if we enter on our own will we be spreadall over the place. It would be nice to get some reponse from the committee!

Some lack of co-ordination here.

I want to get there early as poss in the VIP parking area, have sent an email to find out when the parking area opens, and will report back.

Despite my early arrival plan, would still be cool to have a convoy. Open to suggestions as to meet first, not much space near there, maybe the roundabout at the end of the N21 dual carriageway travelling South from Limerick area (not much space), or at the Heritage centre car park, station road, off Adare main street (in the town)..

If your going, list your car below:

- F355 rep

Brian, I'm on for meeting up and travelling there in convoy. As you're from the general area, you nominate a meeting place and time, and I'll see you there on the Sunday morning. I've a VIP parking pass too.
David, I'll be staying in a b&b, hotel or guesthouse the saturday night before.
I was going to stay in the Manorlands hotel, but they're very dear. I'll try them again today to see if there are any reductions available. Are you on for meeting Brian too?
Mick.

A convoy seems a good idea.
N7 MOTORWAY - no bumps etc.
As a suggestion, would a good meeting place be the Abbey court hotel in Nenagh, then on towards Adare to meet as a group before arriving at the event.
Any takers??????????
pete

Ok then final group meet before entering the event, Heritage centre car park, station road, off Adare main street (in the town).. basically heading South, drive past the Adare Manor entrances, into the town (not far), after the thatched cottages, turn right into station road, and then right again, into the centre's car park.

Then we have the short picturesque 5 min drive back to the event ground.

Cheers

Brian

 Depart Heritage Centre carpark at 9am sharp I think- see Jonathan's email below re opening times, that way we might be able to get good spots in the VIP parking area, so aim to get to the heritage centre for 8.50 latest.

Cheers

Brian

Dear Brian,

Thank you for your email. The event officially opens at 09:30 and racing starts at 10am, but the gates will be open previous to that so you are welcome to arrive as early as you like.

Security will be on hand before, throughout and after the event. The gates to the Manor will also be manned. Vehicles and their contents are parked at the owners' risk, as is the norm in these situations.

Best regards,
Jonathan Travers

Someone check with Martin if he has booked the area for Kit car club stand
I think this was €400 but if all entries already paid come off this we have our own pitch in the show area. The stand included 20 car spots, club tent area and three support vehicles. Makes sense to promote the club at this first Festival of Speed and secure future slot for the club that we may not get next year if it is a roaring success. We dont want to be stuck among a mix of cars in a row that happens at shows like this, even in the Vip PARKING area, eg. Terenure
