Heatwave Press Release:
Xtreme Promotions; promoters of 100% Modified and JapFest Irl have teamed up with Slick Magazine to present the “All New Heatwave” for 2008. This year’s show is going to be bigger and better than ever, incorporating many areas, from Custom cars and bikes to High Performance cars, European modified cars, Race, Rally and Drift cars.
Drawing on years of experience, Xtreme and Slick will bring to you a gathering of iconic cars from all areas of the motoring industry.
The main attractions on show will be the Tokyo Drift RX7 – never before seen in Ireland, and the new Nissan Skyline R35 GTR.
The 1 day show is set to take place in the National Show Centre in Swords, Co. Dublin on Sunday June 29th 2008, from 12 noon ‘til 7p.m. It is aimed at all types of car enthusiasts from motorsport fanatics to modified car fans. Heatwave 2008 will be an action packed show that the whole family can enjoy; either in the huge outdoor marquee or inside the Show Centre itself. A Live Action Arena will be jam packed with Drift Demo’s from D-rift Battle and Team Xtreme. Demo Rally Sprints from Rally School Ireland will take place on a purpose built rally track and crazy free style motor cycle stunts too. Plus there are still some surprises in store that will be released over the coming weeks.
If that’s not enough, in addition to all that, Extreme Rodeo will be present on the day with their Bucking Bronco and Munster Motorsport will have their F1 Pitstop Challenge; as seen at Jap Fest Irl. There will also be live stage shows to include break dancers doing their stuff on the stage.
Thousands of applicants from all over Ireland are hoping to show off their love for cars through the hard work they have put into modifying and customising their own cars and bikes but only the best will get through to Heatwave ‘08. You can be sure that car and bike enthusiasts everywhere will be flocking to the National Show Centre to get a look at these cars.
This will be a great opportunity for you to get a good look at some of the Top Drift Cars in Ireland; and the drivers will be available if you have any questions about drifting or their cars. Drifting is growing bigger by the day and with it are the driver’s budgets. Drift cars are now standing their owners anywhere in the region of €20,000 and upwards. Some of the cars that will be on show will have engines with a power output of 600bhp.
To add to the motorsport aspect of the show there is to be a Rally car section where you can see Rally cars from past and present, including Mk2 Escorts worth over €100,000 and WRC cars.
An F1 Jordan car, similar to the one in which Giancarlo Fisichella won his first race at the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2003 will also be on show alongside the 2006/2007 Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari, the car in which Raikkonen won the title of Formula One World Driver’s Champion in 2007.
With so much going on at the All New Heatwave show, organisers Xtreme Promotions and Slick Magazine are expecting massive crowds and anticipate a rercord 10,000 people will pass through the doors of the Show Centre on the day.
