Gary, that post is a little misleading The boat (Stena Line) i'm on is leaving at 7.45am and i plan on being there for at least 6.45am.

Damo,

As you know I am going on Irish Ferries so I checked the Stena website before posting and their timetable says that the Stena Adventurer boat departs at 8.20am from Dublin port???

That maybe so Gary but my e-ticket shows the departure as 7.45am and it's the same when you go to make a booking. I'll make a call to see if i can clarify this.

Alan, There are two tolls, one on the M1 outside Drogheada which is 1.90 euros and the port tunnel at the end of the M1 is 6 euros.

They only accept cash in Euros at the booths.

I'm currently on the boat (Stena Adventurer) and thought I'd let you know that they have working wifi (not the fastest, but it works), but if you want to plug anything in, you'll need a plug adaptor of the two prong European type.

Ok, so we all arrived safely after our 200 odd mile trip down through the very picturesque Wales. Not many pics so far, tried to take a few more but got scuppered on the way. Will have a full day tomorrow to lash off a load of photos, these are what i got today from a short stop off in Betws-y-Coed.

Hey Damo,

The media are frantically looking for victims of the Swine Flu, Have you been to Mexico recently?

Or even a mexican restaurant, or really clutching at straws, bought mexican food in the supermarket.

Plain flu is just soooo commmmonnnnn.

on the hole a good weekend with lots of nice cars the run to the show was out through Snowdonia which has stunning scenary and the roads are are abit better than the ones in Connamara, but had a lot more cameras and they even have their own special vans to travel around in. I had a few probs with the p4 mainly cos I left the hand brake on. As usual the club stand looked very professional, and it never fails to amaze me that there are still people in Ireland interested in kit cars that dont know we exist :? I spent Sunday evening in the the local bar to the hotel drinking (and introducing JM to) that strange English custom of drinking warm stuff called real ale. Monday was damp and cold we went shopping for bits for the Moss for her debut next weekend and we packed up and headed home where a few of us had fun inthe tunnels on the A55. we arrived back in Dublin at around 1.00 am and an eventful run back to Mullingar, where an impromtue visit from the boys in blue or not as the case maybe, livened up proceedings, Tom I will not forget and revenge will be very sweet   A big thankyou must go to the QOC for their freindlyness and hospitaity

At this juncture i gotta apologize for not getting a photo of Pascal & Nuala's Quantum  Sorry guys. Now, i can vouch for their attendance, they where definitely there, i even talked to them a couple of times  .
Also in attendance but also not snapped was Peter who in his Merc ML who ferried over the club Tent and equipment, Danny came in his Mitsubishi Pickup armed to the teeth with fresh Lobster and Crap Claws, John was on hand in his Civic, Jan in her trusty Octavia and lastly Charlie, Mary and Esme (who entertained us all the whole weekend) where in the Qasrushbra :P. A big THANK YOU to these guys for transporting us to and from the hotel, Thanks guys.

Also, it's gotta be said that the Boys & Girls of The Quantum Owners Club really out did themselves. Not only did they make us all feel very welcome they also gave us a considerable chunk of there stand so we could put together our own stand and then they also fed us at every opportunity and kept us topped up with tea and coffee to boot. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all in the QOC.

And on a side note, a special thanks to Holly for her assistance with the BIG FEED on the Sunday night, nice one kiddo. :D

If there's anyone i've forgotten please step forward and make yourself known :D

And now for some more photos.
